    1. [S4] Obituary.
Vincenette Gloria "Vinnie" Lupton, a resident of Ingleside at King Farm retirement community in Rockville, MD, died on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015 from congestive heart failure. She was age 87. Widow of Horace Elwood "Woody" Lupton, who died in 1979, Vinnie resided in the family home in the Chartwell community of Severna Park, MD, for 42 years. She was an active member of the Chartwell Country Club for many years, and participated in many classes and senior social activities with the Anne Arundel Community College. She moved to the Charlestown retirement community in Catonsville, MD, in 2011 and then to Ingleside earlier this year. Born in Niagra Falls, NY, in 1927, to Peter and Frances R. (Insana) Ullo, she was a cheerleader in high school and attended Michigan State University on an academic scholarship. Her family briefly moved to California for her mother's health and Vinnie later returned there, living in Hollywood where she worked as a bookkeeper and met her future husband, an electrical engineer. They were married on September 17, 1949. As her husband's employment with Westinghouse Corp. took their family to the East Coast, including Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey, she raised three girls as a full-time mother and homemaker. In 1974, Vinnie started a small business auditing freight transportation transactions. She is survived by three daughters: Linda (Richard) Jackson of Williamsburg, VA; Sherry (Richard) Hurley, of Great Falls, VA; and Gail (Brian) Porter of North Potomac, MD, as well as a sister, Anita Whitmore of San Bernardino, CA. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Jennifer (Paul) Schultheis of Westminster, MD; Richard (Charlotte) Hurley of Castle Rock, CO; Justin Hurley of San Diego, CA; Andrew (Whitney) Porter and Douglas Porter of Washington, DC; and Gregory Porter of Silver Spring, MD; four great-grandchildren: Taylor and Tucker Schultheis of Westminster and Stella and Ava Hurley of Castle Rock. A memorial service will be held at Ingleside at King Farm on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 11 a.m. in the multipurpose room. The address is 701 King Farm Blvd., Rockville, MD, 20850.
