      BEULAH MAE SADLER PRESCOTT
      Died: Thursday, April 13, 2006

      After a 15-month valiant battle with leukemia, Beulah Mae Sadler Prescott died on Thursday, April 13, 2006 at her home.

      She was the daughter of the late Winston Ives Sadler and Molsia Lupton Sadler of Bayboro.

      Mrs. Prescott was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her concern for future generations was evident in her lifelong career with Pamlico County Schools as a teacher, assistant principal and vocational director. Since retiring, she traveled extensively with her husband and grandchildren. She was a member of many professional organizations including Delta Kappa Gamma. She was an active member of Rock of Zion Original Free Will Baptist Church.

      She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kermit Sadler, Sr.

      She is survived by her husband, Phillip M. Prescott, Sr.; son, Phillip M. Prescott, Jr.; daughter, Martha Prescott-Gaskill and husband Dennis; son, Mark S. Prescott and wife Sandi; grandchildren, Sarah L. Prescott, Noah S. Gaskins, Joshua D. Gaskill, Aaron P. Gaskill, Phillip G. Prescott and Luke C. Prescott; and sisters-in-law, Carol G. Prescott and Elaine G. Sadler.

      Visitation was Friday, April 14 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bryant Funeral Home. The funeral service was held Saturday, April 15, 3:00 pm, at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen M. Prescott and the Rev. Michael Bryan officiating. Burial followed the service in Sandhill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Noah S. Gaskill, Kermit Sadler, Jr., Joseph Lupton, Earl Sadler, Sr., Chris S. Lupton, and Lee Andrew Willis, III.

      Flowers are welcome, however, memorials may be made in her memory to the American Cancer society, relay for Life, 930-B Wellness Dr., Greenville, NC 27834 or to the John Benjamin Prescott Jr. Scholarship Program, 1435 Prescott Rd., New Bern, NC 28560. (Paid obituary)
